Barring in Reno

I was playing green chips (1-4) at the Sienna recently and got barred very rapidly, probably about 30 minutes or perhaps 20-40 hands. I bought into a "promotion" that allowed you to buy $2100 in green chips for $2000. To get this promotion I had to give them my driver's liscence. What are the implications. How widely do they share information. Am I about to get barred in mnay other places as a result of my experiene at the Sienna? The ridiculous aspect of this was I was DOWN over $200 when they barred me!

I swear your post is about me! Same exact thing happened to me only I was down alot more than $200 and I was only backed off, not barred. Anyone else buying the promo needs to flat bet it. It is a free 5% so why did we need to count it out anyway? We could have done that later but this is all hind sight. To answer your question I was fliered all over town. My photo, name, and detailed description was sent to most of the casinos in downtown Reno and most likely to the Hilton. I played anom for the rest of the trip but was given strange looks at most places. I decided to cut the trip short and return at a later date. I know what you are thinking but it really isn't the end of the world.

It's this kind of crap that should be very illegal for anyone or any company to do to any person who is not convicted of doing anything illegal. This is a form of defamation of character.

If someone did that to us for any other reason, they could be sued for damages and we would have a good chance of winning.

But nobody really has the resources to fight the casinos on this legally. In Nevada the legal system has been bought and paid for by casino interests anyway. But you can't use a persons image for commercial purposes without a signed release. There is just not anybody to enforce this on our behalf.

I ahve read before either on a Bj website or in a BJ book that some promotions which a counter would pounce on are semi-traps laid by the casino's. When I read it, I thought it far fetched but now .....

be trapped as they are aware of the appeal to advantage players. I advise taking the offer and taking the barring unless it is a really valuable casino to you. This is usually not the case. I got barred at a 2:1 on bj promo while flat betting and playing basic strategy.

They are non-negotiable chips. They must be played but since you are getting 5% flat betting is a good thing to do.

What we should do is start posting and distributing the names, faces, and any other private information we can obtain on casino personnel. I'm talking about floor people, pit bosses, shift managers, and even dealers who seem to rat out counters. Post them on the internet with info on their schedules and habits. Send around flyers, and publish something equivalent to the Griffin book with all their mugs. See how fast they take legal action. Somehow they think that laws are only in place to protect their interests.

I assume on a loss, you lose the fake green (FG) chip.

On a single win, though, which of the following happens?
(1) You lose the FG, but receive a real green (RG)?
(2) You lose the FG, but receive TWO RG's?
(3) You keep the FG and receive a RG?
(4) Something else?

Your fake chip bets stay in the circle just as if they were real and you get paid in real chips. If it was (1) it would be a very negative EV promo...hehe.
