playing with a 10K bankroll, is having a max bet of 250 at counts plus 8 and higher financial suicide. Is 40 max bets acceptable? Or is the chance of going broke too high?

The math justifies such betting. If you play full Kelly (I suppose TC 8 with Hi-Lo), your max bet must be 266 (1 hand at a time). The essential thing here is to decrease your bets if your bankroll shrinks. But a lot of experts prefer to bet much more conservatively. Wong, for example, says in his PB that he holds his max bet to1/150 or less (1 hand at a time) of his total stake. For 2 hands at a time, he recommends each of 2 simultaneous big bets to be 1/200 or less of his bankroll.

76% kelly betting with a 10K BR. In an AC game (unless they changed the rules) the player advantage is -.44%. Leaving the following bets on TC Counts. (player advantage times .76, where each TC adds .5 in favor of the player)
ie. at plus 1
-.44% + %.5 = %.06
%.06 *%.76 = %.045
%.045 (or .00045) * BR of 10,000 = bet of 4.5

This should be 76% kelly, unless I am mistaken. Capping your bets at 250 give a 1:10 spread when betting quarters, so round each bet to quarters. above Since it's lower in most cases, I think this should be pretty conservative. Thoughts? If I made a mistake please let me know. Thanks.
