Is this a serious post? If so, you need to state what you have to offer potential investors. I assume ten thousand dollars is a typo, leaving off a zero(?)

No. Because I want to play small stakes and build it up. I don't want to start with anything over 10 grand. I'm more likely to get a smaller investment than a larger one. I'm also willing to put money in myself.

I'm not asking for an outside investor. I want to put my money in with other card counters that might be trying to build up a bankroll themselves.

What is your skill level?

10k doesn't do much, unless you plan to grind red chips, and even then it's a small bank. From your stated location, is it correct to think you envision playing in Reno and Sacramento? There's little else near you to choose from.

At the level of play that 10k will prudently allow, there will be few if any comps. You won't want to use your birth name at this stage and risk sullying it for later, when you have moved up to reasonable stakes and need the birth name. Las Vegas expenses will eat you alive. Have you figured travel expenses into your proposed scenario?

For that limited funded team to prosper, they had to attack the strongest games. Deep penetration, S17, etc. They also shuffle tracked. Conditions that are tougher to find today.

Small bankrolls need large advantages. Do paid employment until you have at least 50K and scout for great games. If you find a good HC opportunity or something then play it, forget about card counting for the time being. I don't care if Hyland, Thorp or the frigging Dalai Lamai tells you otherwise.

Persevering with a small edge on a small bank and your bank will get eaten alive by expenses. As someone who lost 3 banks early on betting into games much more favourable than you can find now, trust me, you don't want that misery in your life.

I think I'm pretty good. I've been training nonstop for about a year now. And yes, I would start with red chips and work my way up to green chips. I plan on playing locally here in northern California and possibly reno. I could care less about comps. I'm focused on becoming a better blackjack player. I've never onced strategized about getting comped. I have no idea how to get comped and I want to keep it that way.

No need for travel expenses. It costs 20 bucks to shuttle to cache creek casino daily. It costs 2 bucks to get to garlic city casino in gilroy. Costs 5 bucks to go to Santa cruz. There are shuttle services that go to reno for 100 bucks hotel included. Not only that, but they give you money back throughout the trip

No expert in California, played there once in my entire life over a decade ago. However, my understanding is that they have essentially private card rooms with table charges. That would lead to an effectively very high house edge. My understand was that the deal in these places is monopolized.

By all means if you do find a great opportunity go for it, though.
