Howdy,
Haven't been in a while and had a few questions.
1.) What are the min/max now? I heard the $5 tables are gone; is that true? I'll be going during the week in the spring.
2.) What's the status of single deck games? Are they still available? And have they all gone 6:5?
3.) Good places to play / personal favorites? Last time I was there, the Borgata was under construction, so I imagine things have changed some.

1. Depends on the day/time of the week. During the week you may find some $5 tables. I have seen them at:

- AC Hilton (6D & 8D)

- Trump Plaza (8D)

- Bally's Wild Wild West (8D)

- Claridge (8D)

- Taj Mahal (8D)

- Borgata (6D)

I don't think you will find $5 tables on the weekend. At least I don't recall finding any during the weekend. You will find $10 tables early in the morning, generally during the graveyard shift. The lowest you will probably find during peak hours is $15. Many of the tables will be at least $25.

2. AC is now riddled with 6:5 single deck (crapjack) games.

3. Borgata opened last year. It is very nice. The games are all 6D, but good pen is hard to find. I won't say where my favorite places to play are on a public forum for obvious reasons.

AC Hilton never has $5 limits on their 6 deck game. They only have one 6 deck pit on the floor which is always $25 or $50 mins, located directly in front of the high limit pit.

I may have been hallucinating at the time, but I am quite sure that was a $5 6D table(s) at AC Hilton that I saw. It was early in the morning on a weekday. Maybe they changed their policy for those tables since then, but they definitely had $5 and $10 minimums for a few of the tables. Yes, the 6D tables are either in the high limit pit or the bank of tables right in front of the high limit pit. IIRC, the last two tables in that bank are 8D tables and the $5 table I am referring to was not one of those.

What do you consider good on 8 deck shoes? 80% +? thanks.

I try to avoid those 8 deckers as much as possible. 80% is good pen. I had one time where the dealer was giving us nearly 90% on an 8D shoe! In general, I would say you will probably get around 75% though.

During slow times, I've seen 1 and sometimes 2 $5 6d games at the Hilton. Usually it's $5min--$200max. I think the new owners take over in March, so things may change.
