That's only 4 questions.
How can you count cards if you can't count to 5? Kidding, kidding... :)
I answered 6 questions "Yes":
"Did gambling cause a decrease in your ambition or efficiency?"
I'm facing this right now - really spending a lot of time learning about AP and it's cutting into my day job working hours. Agree this is a problem and need to rectify it.
"After losing did you feel you must return as soon as possible and win back your losses?"
Hard not to steam after negative variance. But as an AP, the important thing is to keep your head on straight. Returning as soon as possible is actually a *good* thing if you have +EV.
"After a win did you have a strong urge to return and win more?"
Yes, see above.
"Did you ever gamble longer than you had planned?"
Sometimes, but never had any negative consequences.
"Have you ever gambled to escape worry, trouble, boredom or loneliness?"
Mostly boredom. Don't see a problem with this.
"Did you ever have an urge to celebrate any good fortune by a few hours of gambling?"
Eh, what's the harm.
It's a good test though. Even with the exceptions for competent APs, some of these are red flags. Although if you truly are competent and successful, I don't see the harm in selling off a few things to add to your BR. Gotta risk money to make money :)
