anybody out there

From around July 2011 to Dec 2011, I played at this small midwest casino. usually 2 or 3 6 deck tables open. a few more on weekends. one dd only open evenings. 6d is h17, das. Pen on the 6 deck a fairly consistent 5.5/6.0. Dealers are fast and efficient. Table max of $300 or $500. tables not crowded and the $25 6d usually empty. Pit bosses inconsistent on whether you can play 2 hands x table max or aggregate of two hands has to be below max. dd table is h17, no das, $500 max 75% or better pen.

I stuck to the 6d for longevity. Played about 6 times avg. of about 5 hrs per session. Decent comps, cash back, free rooms + gave me a 5% rebate on losses. No hassles. I didn't even ask for the rebate or know about it. Not sure if they still have it. I Lost about $5000, got a letter a few days later saying I could take to cashier and get $250.

On approximate 7 th visit, pit bosses on phone, whispering to dealer, next thing, pen = 3.0/6.0 with preferential shuffle at any bet over $25. I play a strong game $25 to table max, no cover, no act, just politely blast away so 30 hrs without countermeasures is a good find for me.

I returned about 6 months later hoping that they might forgot me or that they would have had so many APs come through they would not remember me, and I could play at lesat a few hours. after the first $200 bet, pit bosses pull out a massive stack of two photos with mine on top. Half shoe & prefernetial shuffle began.

So, I repeat my question, is there anybody out there playing a serious game? Great pen, decent comps, reasonalbe tolerance, rebate on losses. what more do you want. Is it because CBJN is not accurate?

It's part of the game. For you it's now time to move on to different casinos.

And yes, there are plenty of us playing "a serious game". Your card counting skills are about 25% of your knowledge base of this game. Also, CBJN while not 100% accurate, an impossibility given the reporters' monthly task in the shifting sands of casino rules, is a good guide to playing conditions at the multitude of casinos from sea to shining sea.

I will gladly take 30 hours w/ @ a good spread at great game and move on.

If you are saying there are serious AP players hitting this place and going unnoticed. It is possible, but in my 30 hours there, I sure did not see any. Just a bunch of ploppies betting red and a few green chips.

...And besides, I couldn't name even one casino in the mid-west even if my life depended on it. Where I do play I could draw you map of every casino. Regardless, it's time for you to move on. The welcome mat at you casino has been rolled up as far as your concerned.

You were/are playing too long at the same table and in the same casino!

not cost effective for a 5 hour r.t to play 2 hours. You must be in a different geography than me.

According to an expert player and teacher you (No One) should play at the same table, pit or casino for more than one hour. Or they will have time to detect you and ultimately bar you from their casino.

I have two casinos, where I have several casino areas within each casino! Which is ideal and serendipitous.

Again, we need to be pragmatic and delve deeper into this important topic:

To avoid detection one needs to keep sessions brief, IF one has spread their money to anywhere near the extreme ranges of their count; or if they have self-destructively more than doubled or more than halved their bet size in a single round.

That means that if you have played for an hour or more, (and at that point none of your bets have been made for more than let us say 4 or 5 units in a typical shoe game, or 3 units in a DD game), then there is NO reason to move on.

That also means that once you have bet anywhere near your Max bet, you do not return to freshly shuffled cards and a 1 or 2 unit bet.

It generally takes 3 shoes, for the casino's "skill check" to expose you to the scrutiny of their vigilant surveillance analysts. Two shoes suffice when you have spread your money orchestrated to the True Count in both of those shoes.

Because of that, you may be prepared to "boot, scoot, and boogie" in as little as 50 to 60 minutes.

If you have bet from (your) minimum bet to your maximum bet, irrespective of whether or not you have won anything, it is best to color up and "Get out of Dodge."

Conversely, if you can get in 2 or 3 hours without ever splashing around with large bets, then you have advertised yourself as a casual player who staff need not be concerned with.

Please note that the more you look and act like a Card Counter without sufficient camouflage the briefer your sessions need to be.

Of course -- if you are an African-American female, aged 55+, colorfully dressed and whining in Swahili while toking the dealer, you can play on ad lib.

You are assuming that the pit critters and surveillance drones are so stupid that they do not update the count when they see someone make an aggressive move like Splitting 10s or doubling a Soft 20.

That is beyond ludicrous. An example of the classic error of "underestimating one's enemies"

In fact the situation that you are referring to all but requires that there be a tsunami devoid of Aces & Face Cards on the felt for you to make the play(s) in question when preceded by a modest wager.

Even noobie octogenarian tourists take note of that happenstance.
