been meaning to travel down to AC and play a little however, I keep hearing how the BlackJack conditions have consistently deteriorated.

all games have stand 17, late surrender, by law.
WOW -- I'm used to AC rules and unfortunately, never had the opportunity to play w/ Late Surrender... Looking forward to it.
Since a few properties just got table games, do you have any preferences among which ones to visit? Perhaps, vicinity wise, as I'm coming from NYC... Are there bus trips like for AC?

there are bus trips. i live in NE pa. From NYC, prob maount airy in the poconos is closest. That's about 40 miles east of Mohegun sun at pocono downs, and about 40 miles north of Sands in allentown/bethlehem area.

will soon go on the casino's websites and check out transportation details... it's already 2.5 hours to AC for crappy games, why not try out PA w/ better rules if it's of comparable distance/time and a direct bus route.
Only problem that I could foresee is that there would be no option as to leaving one place and going elsewhere, as is the case on the Boardwalk... but then again, who cares if you're leaving a bad game for an equally bad game at best!

Just that the job market is terrible everywhere right now...
The job market is quite strong in the Dakotas, Montana, Wyoming and Nebraska. Big oil discoveries in the Dakotas, and ranching, agribiz and mining all doing quite well in those areas.
Thanks for the guidance Coot, but I'm not sure the Dakotas and the agri biz are city enough for me. I'm looking for a middle ground.
Somewhere suburbial perhaps. Where you are within reach of the city and all it has to offer, yet live in a quiet community area. Most important these days is the weather.... looking for something warm all year round.
