My local casino is opening a new single deck table.
The game has poor rules just like the double deck.

Split once

Even with the poor rules, this game would be a ton better to play than the double deck or CSM games right?
Does anybody consider pen today?
If the DD is S17 DA2 DAS it is a significantly better game.
If you are not counting cards than C.S.M. are a moot topic.

50% penetration.
Auto shuffle but not a CSM.
What does "Sp A,8" mean ?
I hope that it does not mean that Aces and 8's are the only pairs that can be split.
That is an unimaginably ruinous restriction.
You neglected to say if one can (DAS) double after split.
In most places that offer such a poor H17 DD game, you can.
Furthermore DD always means Double Deck, not double-down.
We just say "double" for that.
