To the editor:
Visitor Harry Porter (March 18 letter) has correctly pointed out how some exceptionally greedy local casino owners are taking advantage of the public with short-pay video poker.
Blackjack has fallen victim to this greed as well, with short-pay 6-to-5 single deck, continuous shuffling machines, fake double deck games, and other sneaky casino tricks.
Las Vegas is continuing to lose ground vs. other casino destinations. The overwhelming greed and the offering of games that simply don't give the player a reasonable chance are a large factor behind this.
