While this is not a stock market page, it is one for advantage play. With Martha Stewart getting out of jail this week and all the expected media and public hype, there is an excellent chance for this stock rising sharply in the short term. It closed Friday at about $36/share. Put in a sell stop to limit losses. This is far better than the 1% blackjack expectation with no chance of being thrown out of their casino!
just don't let the FEDs get the idea that you got inside information from her before you bought or sold. :)
as i recall the stock jumped when she decided to take her medicine and serve her time; her expected release date has been known from late last year. but, gl-
To me what makes this worthwhile is that it appears very unlikly for MSO to drop much with the imminent release of Martha and all the media hype. Therefore, a sale stop close to our entry price protects against much of a loss. Meanwhile, there is a great chance for a considerable gain. So it looks like there is a large upside potential with minimal possible downside.

The chart linked in below tracks the progress of Martha Stewart stock over the last month. If I am reading this correctly, the stock was trading for about $36 a share when you made this recommendation.
The last close was at $24 a share.
If I am reading this right, then people who followed this advice would have lost about 1/3 of their investment.
MSO closed at $36.07 on 2/25 and began its steady and ongoing decline at the opening bell on 2/28. MSO was at $33 the morning after Martha was released; it closed Friday at $24.05. That proves that just saying something is an advantage play, in theory or based on conventional wisdom, doesn�t make it an advantage play in reality.
In hindsight, the advantage play was made by contrarian or savvy investors who bought the stock right after Martha was sentenced on 7/16, when it closed at $11.81, and then sold it to short sighted investors (speculators), like Chappy, just before she was released.
The advantage play, in the stock market, after all these years, is STILL to buy low and sell high!
