I am a beginner (as you probably can tell by the questions I post), and I was wondering what advice you would give on the first trip out to the casinos as a counter. I've practiced a lot of counting at home (I use the hi-lo system) and can count pretty quickly. I know basic strategy and index plays for the system pretty thoroughly. I've gambled numerous times before at blackjack tables, but never as a card counter.
I guess my plan right now is to play only when its to my advantage (ie. best rules, good penetration) by wonging in and out of games. I'm interested in attacking shoes before single and double deck though (plan to jump in during positive counts, and leave when it goes negative), do you think this is practical? Also is wonging still doable? I'm gonna do my gambling in vegas so I should have enough casinos to go in and out of. Just wondering if you guys could give me any more pointers as a beginner. Thanks for your help.
