A common misconception...
Pat, you are confusing CTRC's (Cash Transaction Report by Casino) and SARC's (Suspicious Activity Report by Casino). The snippets in my post at BJFonline were in reference to the latter.
Currently major casinos are required (by Nevada) to file a report if they deem the actions of anyone moving over $3k/day "suspicious". The new proposal will raise this to $5k/day, the limit currently imposed by the feds. On the downside, the new proposal takes away the discretion that casino execs have, and requires them to file a report on anyone that has been brought to their attention by the pit for being even the least bit "suspicious".
One more point that may be of interest, CTRC's are not only filed for $10k/day transactions, but also for any transaction of $2500 or more at one time.
