Apart from using an ace side count to adjust a running/true count, is there any other advantage or use for keeping this type of count?
For example, what if I had an 11 and the dealer has a 9. I use a HiLo count and the true count is say +3.
This may seem a very favorable situation for me to double. But what if the true of +3 was due to a very high number of aces left in the shoe and the number of tens was relatively deficient? Then doubling could see me with a 11 plus A = 12, or a dealer with a 9 plus A = 20.
My point is normal counting, at times, can be misleading and Ace counts to a degree, would help.
