ace side count

When counting what do you say when your side counting aces?

When I count I say the following for these cards (2,3,T,5,6,5,T) I would say: one, two, even, two, four, two.

Now if the cards were (2,3,T,5,6,5,T,A) what do you say for the side count?

On minus counts I say Mone, Mtwo, Mthree, Mtwo, ect..

I am looking for an easier way when side counting than saying
(For the following cards T, A, 3, 5, 6, 5, A, T, T, A.)

"Mtwo, Mtwo one ace, Mone one ace, one one ace, three one ace, five one ace, five two aces, three two aces, one two aces, one three aces"

example using Hi-Lo
2, 3, A, 4, Q, A

count the above seq as "1A, 2A, 1B, 2B, 1B, evenC"

I don't use side counts, but I know of this method from reading Barry Meadows "Blackjack Autumn". He used UAPC, and side counted aces using this technique.

Ok, I can see this working. So is no aces = A or does 1 ace = A

Single deck game after all aces have came out "xD" (x = count, d = 4 aces) or does it go to "xE"?

Ya 1A 2A 2B etc but I dont recite the letter in my mind after every card it just kinda sticks..just like minus or plus I dont have to think them they just stick. SM

Since I side track more than one card, I use the old standard, chip rotation method. Sort of like tuning a radio. Several stacks of chips, each representing a different denomination, rotating 1/8 for each card seen. For shoe games, this makes it possible to keep the primary count simple, which is helpful for multi-level counts. In single-deck play, I just remember how many of each were played and don't bother with mechanics, but in shoes, the numbers get unwieldly. Bonne chance; PV

Using chips is a good idea but other people can tell that you are tracking something...I used to count aces on my feet (like Uston) but years back Joe Baseel at the Aladin noticed it and pointed it out to another boss so from that day forward I decided to keep it in my head. SM

If you send me a personal email, I'll show you the easy way to do it. Whether you're playing 1D, 2D, 4D, 6D or 8D, it's easier than anything I've ever heard of and your brain processes less syllables. Less syllables = less work which in turn = keeping an accurate count with the fastest dealers. You may even be able to step up to a level 2 count. I'm using AO2. The ace side count is nearly automatic with my method. However, I�m not yet interested in telling the rest of the world how it�s done because if not done discreetly, the secret will get busted by the P C�s of the world and it will no longer be able to be used.

Also, if your counting 0 as "even", that's one syllable too many. Call it "E" or call it "Z" for zero.
