I don�t think so.
My copy of Prof BJ says to �Always Hit� A7 vs 10. I believe this is correct.
The standing number is +1 against an S17 Ace. in multi-deck play.
Note that for H17, you always hit.
As a general rule when the true count is close to the index number, it really doesn�t make a lot of difference what you do. So yes, you could :flip a coin�. However, I would prefer to use some other criteria, such as card-eating or cover in making these decision.
On a practical level, most counter do not use an index for A7 v Ace. They would be better off to �Always Stand� vs :�Always Hit� in S17 games.
