A Thank You, And A New Question

A few months ago, in the middle of a wicked negative swing, I posted on here about dealing with losing streaks. I received some good advice, and some kind words of encouragement. To those who replied to my post, thank you. I stuck with it, really tightened up my game selection and focused on achieving the best pen possible. I am happy to report that the pendulum has indeed swung back in my direction and I am playing very close to my ev for the year.

One thing that has come from this tightened game selection is that I am becoming very well known at a couple of places. There does not seem to be anything in the way of heat, but I am growing concerned that my cumulative win will raise red flags. I use KO (sorry Yokes) and it's simplicity allows me to be very outgoing and engaging with pit personnel, they all know my name and it seems that I'm liked. I am approaching a 5 figure cumulative win at one place, so my question is haw far can I push it before I get the tap. I would really hate to lose a good game because there are so few in my neck of the woods.

When you strike a casino's choke point, you will be backed off. You needn't be an AP. The pit makes its decision based on your track record as well as your proficiency.

Hide some chips creating loss when there are other players around or arrange big players taking your win.

Every thing was right on. I've been playing my local store at least once a week for the past 2 years without any problem. Good results & friendly atmosphere. I rat hole a lot and keep my spreads very modest.

In many casinos, especially Vegas, it seems to be in many casino personnel job descriptions to catch and deter skilled card counters, starting with the low level pit bosses and sometimes even dealers. In some casinos outside Vegas, particularly Indian casinos, the attitude of dealers and even some pit bosses is that trying to identify and evaluate card counters is not my job and/or I am not skilled at that. But once it gets to the table games mgr or similar level, if they tape your play, and evaluate, and you are playing a strong game, you are toast.

I played for a long time at one of the Missouri casinos, where the countermeasure was about 50% penetration at dd (which sometimes dealers missed by a little on the good side) and lasted that way for years. On one session, I was incredibly lucky and won just shy of $10,000. After that, penetration changed to 25% and a pit boss watches the dealer and makes him replace the shuffle card if it is even a hair better than 25%.

I could suggest not winning too much in any single session and not too much cumulative at a single casino, but that is kind of defeating the point of playing.

You have to get good a rat-holing. Be sly and don't over do it. After you accumulate a significant amount, have someone else turn them in to the cashier.

Yes I do. I believe a good player club can add considerable value to your play. They are not all good, but if you find a good one you're missing out by passing. Of course longevity can be jeopardized, which is my concern right now. One idea I have is to create separate identities on different shifts, I'm working that now, we'll see how it works out.

can easily get backed off based on a single session with no card. And at many places, playing black action and no card is an automatic call to surveillance. By giving a card, in some places you have a chance to last longer.

At a very few places, such as Mirage, I wish I had never given card because I think I got backed off based on lifetime win in conjunction with bet spread. I never got much of anything in terms of comps from Mirage. I think I might have avoided the boot by playing short anonymous sessions.

No way in hell now. Unless it's an alternate.

cost of using card- I was backed off and could no longer play the dd, no das, 45% penetration horrible game at this casino that was closed a few months later.

Benefit/cost ratio about $5000/nothing which equals infinity.

So it wasn't that big of a deal. Get tossed at a Harrah's property under one name, good luck using that name again at those properties.

Get the card and use it, and then once backed off you have no choice, but to give no card. I don't do fake ID and friends cards anymore.
