A simple question...

Probably a complex answer. How many cards does an average player use in the game of blackjack? Second question... How many cards does a player use in blackjack, INCLUDING the dealer? I assume the
dealer uses more cards than an average player but don't know how to come to an average. There may be no mathematical formula to arrive at that answer. Maybe sims would be required?? Any help given would be greatly appreciated.

make it simple,
No. of cards consumed per round is C,
No. of boxes played is N
C = [(N+1) x 3 ] -1

2.7 is the standard we use for the player. But the rules matter. Clearly, with surrender, the number drops a little. With DAS and resplits to four hands, the number increases.

As for the dealer, the number of players at the table matters. With fewer players, if they all break, the dealer doesn't play out his hand. I think it's about 2.65. With a full table, it is very rare for all seven to break, so the dealer almost always plays out his hand, and that uses more cards, of course.

It also suggests not many are good enough or have the needed dedication to beat it. Good for me b/c I don't get any competition.
