Using Eric Farmer's free blackjack program (available at bjmath, see link below), I found that for 6-X vs. 7, the EV for hitting is -40.862...% for a 6D game. On the other hand for 5-4-3-4 vs. 7 the EV for hitting is -42.532...%.
