Organization of PBA...

PBA is organized into four basic modules: The Rules Editor for entering rules; the Strategy Analyzer, which determines the optimal basic or counting strategy for the given set of rules; the Game module, for practicing the chosen rules and betting/counting system; and the Simulator module, for determining the statistical advantage for the given rule set.

Click on either the icons or links below for a complete specification of the features associated with a given module.

Specific features...

Rules features All standard rules, and numerous exotic rules can be entered into PBA via the Rules Editor Module . In addition, sophisticated betting and counting schemes can also be created and saved in libraries.

Analyzer features Perform detailed, in-depth analysis in the Strategy Analyzer Module . Find an optimal basic strategy, or a strategy based on the counting system of choice; or, enter a custom strategy. Analyze the probability and advantage of every possible player hand, and determine the most important plays.

Game features Practice basic strategy or card counting--or just play for fun!--in the Game Module . Control the speed of the game, individually adjust all delays, get feedback on betting and playing--these are just some of the possibilities. New in PBA 4.3.7: Compute the EXACT best play for a given hand based on the remainder of the deck.

Simulator features Compute the advantage associated with a set of rules and betting system in the Simulator Module . Compute the edge, standard deviation, and numerous other statistical quantities at each count. Change betting systems and immediately view the changes in the calculated quantities. Set up numerous games in batch mode.
