I am in the UK so play against CSM's and I am a small betting basic strategy player - £5 - £30 bets - I usually leave the Casino £100 - £200 in profit - sometimes have small losses - Peanuts to a high roller Card counter but a small victory to me non the less .
On Saturday night gone a wild Gambler joined our table and was exchanging £1000 for chips each time and either betting all of it on one hand or £600 / £700 a time - Losing it and then wandering around the Casino betting on all other games - After watching how he played it was clear he had not studied the game,
When he re joined the table he started Riding my bets without playing another hand also - Maybe he watched my decisons on splits & Doubles and general play ? ? - For future reference and play If such a person was to comment on your play on a losing hand can you request to the Floor staff that no one can Ride your bet ?? - Whats the process in America - After all I am not there playing to make a big bettor money also due my studing and getting the Basic strategy down cold ,
Any thoughts / Comments appreciated

I haven't run into this too many times and never for that much difference in betting amount. From what I've seen in US you can refuse to allow the rider. I have done that. It doesn't ingratiate yourself to the table, for sure, but they probably won't ask again. I think you would always be free to ask the dealer or floor person not to allow it. If you want to allow them to add chips to your bet I have always seen that you have to touch the other persons chips and place the chips on your bet.
If someone was betting that much more than me (20x to 140x) and I allowed them to add it to my bet, I would ask them what they want to do if there is any question as to what the right play is. It's now their bet if I allow them to place that much more than me. If they win they will likely give you part of the winnings. Even if they don't know how to play they could still very well win the hand. Place your lowest bet, let them make the decision, if they give you part of the winning hands, it's probably more than your minimum bet. You then have a very low risk way of participating in any winning hands. Or you can say I make the decisions but I want a commission 😀, even better.
Or - I make all the decisions because you have no idea what you are doing, 😂. Kidding, I don't think that would be great.
