Why so pessimistic

I used to make $4000 per month going to the office (software development) from 9 am to 5 pm five days a week. I had to do things against my convictions just to please clients in order to stay in business. In the end I got fed up with it and began preparing my BJ-career building up the necessary bankroll.
Four years ago I turned Pro and I'm earning just about the same by only "working" two days a week on average. I'm totally free to decide when and where I work and it's mostly big fun.I had already two swings of 50k over a three months period but I was psychologically prepared for it by my own simulations.
I appreciate to have plenty of spare time for my favorite hobby: playing chess! No reason to regret my choice.
