Black-chip membership means access the black-chip pages on the BJ21 web site. Black chippers also have access to the Current Blackjack News page on BJ21. See the CBJN ad for details. Black chippers also have access to the green-chip pages (except the "Party" page, which is accessible only by those who have paid to attend the party). Members have the right to read and post messages on these pages.
Why might you want to become a member of black chip? If you want to exchange posts with blackjack players whose minimum bet is $100 or more, you will want to be on black chip. If you want Stanford Wong's NFL picks for the 2000 season, you will want to be on black chip. If you have valuable information you would like to share, but want to share it with only a few people, you will want to post your message to a black-chip page. Black chippers get a 10% discount on books and software.
Cost of membership to the black chip is $148.75 per quarter, charged automatically to your Visa/MC/AmEx card until you say to cancel. Or you can pay by check, $595 for one year.
Membership is a privilege, not a right. If in the judgment of the editor (currently Stanford Wong) the black-chip page would be better off if you were not a member, your application for membership will be refused. Likewise if you are granted membership and in the opinion of the editor the page would be better off without you, your membership will be revoked and the unused portion of your membership dues will be refunded to you.
