This spreadsheet uses the short-term risk of ruin formula from Don Schlesinger's Blackjack Attack. You start with your hourly win rate and the standard deviation applicable to it, which if you don't know you can find using the spreadsheet by inputting how often you make bets of various amounts. Then, using the spreadsheet, you can find the bankroll necessary for any specified risk of ruin. Or you can input the bankroll to find the associated risk of ruin. Your chance of being behind at the end of a trip is also calculated, as well as your chance of winning less than half your trip EV.
The spreadsheet works with Excel 6 or later.
