Blackjack Autumn by Barry Meadow

Blackjack Autumn chronicles two months in which Barry Meadow visited and played blackjack in every casino in the state of Nevada. He even played at a few Nevada casinos not listed in Current Blackjack News, and of those there are not very many.

Blackjack Autumn is more than just a day-by-day log of wins and losses and comps. It's full of stories, most of them containing advice useful to blackjack players. Meadow has a good eye for detail, and a good knack for describing that detail in a manner that's fun to read.

Blackjack Autumn originally was published in 1999 in hard cover by TR Publishing, at $27.95. Huntington Press took over the book in 2001, changed it to soft cover, and reduced the price to $14.95. Huntington Press did make changes to the text, but the new version does not carry a new copyright date and is not called a new edition.

Barry Meadow is well-known as an author of horse books and publishes a newsletter on the ponies, and he is an excellent blackjack player too. Over the years I have occasionally run into him in casinos and race tracks. He seems to be at any special promotion I visit.

Blackjack Autumn is 350 pages, soft cover.

The price is $14.95 plus shipping (plus sales tax if sent to a Nevada address). Blackjack Autumn is available from:
